There’s no way Smith should be punished for that. Bedard has his head forward and skates directly into Smith’s shoulder. Unfortunate result, but the hit wasn’t even a little bit malicious or remotely dirty

Upon further reflection, I'm okay with this contract. It's awful for the Leafs, BUT, it's great for workers' rights. Imagine being really good at your job for 3 months and then getting a guaranteed 40% pay increase over 8 years?
