semi-related, but "giving up on me" seems to be extinct from the internet if anyone happens to want to put that on youtube, too. O:-)

Came across a fairly recent interview with Steve and he refers to the same 2 stories of Blink that Cyrus also mentioned in his recent interview linked on the previous page. WHAT DOES IT MEAN?!

jk but just found it interesting.

The stories were of Mark picking them up in his BMW and taking them to Sombrero and playing one of their songs in the car then the story of Blink pranking NFG during the middle of NFGs set.

Wow never heard this before - this is a GREAT mix for radio. Why didn’t they use this on Coming Home?

Chad’s latest Instagram post is intense. Sounds things are getting a little better with his cancer. Really hope he is able to get fully healthy again in 2024.

The bigger percussion and more prominent low end does wonders for this version.

Didn’t expect WWE Raw to start out with a Chad shoutout

Four days after CM Punk quit WWE in 2014, I met Chad (and Hayley) when he opened for Yellowcard at Starland Ballroom. I asked him about the Punk situation since I knew they were all friends from social posts, and he said everything going on was real and that he couldn’t see him going back.

It took 10 years to the day of quitting for his WWE in-ring return (and simultaneous injury) to finally occur, and I also happened to be there on Saturday. Then he brings up Chad and his fight with cancer tonight in a very emotional segment.

Just goes to show how much can change in people’s lives, relationships, careers, etc. in a decade.

I remember I met them a little while after that too and some how wrestling came up and Chad was like I don’t watch since Punk left

Chris Carrabba made an IG post recently with him, Chad, Anthony from Bayside and Nick from Further Seems Forever together at his house watching Royal Rumble.

I don't know anything about the WWE or CM Punk, but I thought that was cool to see them all buds still hanging together in their 40s.

  12. Got myself on a little NFG kick at the gym this week. Went back to the two albums I've always disliked the most, Resurrection and Forever X.

I still have a really really hard time getting through Resurrection. it sounds so flat and the lyrics are really, really bad.

Forever has aged only a tad better, the lyrics are tough, lacking good choruses, and just can't match their previous work. The EP on the deluxe version I do really like though. I want more like that.

Radiosurgery has become a hidden gem of an album for me though.

I loved Radiosurgery at release. It wasn't until years later that I found people didn't care all that much for it.

I haven't really liked anything they've done post-Steve, unfortunately. Bums me out, because obviously his removal was entirely justified and I have no interest in seeing him return to the band, but their output took a massive nose dive following his departure for me.

I’m in the same boat. Steve absolutely fucking sucks as human being, I’m glad he’s gone, and he deserves to be launched into the sun, but I do agree this band’s output regressed in a big way after he was kicked out. There’s some good stuff on Makes Me Sick, a couple gems on Ressurection, and moments (largely from the bonus EP) that stand out from the last one, but overall nothing that touches the bulk of the run from S/T to Radiosurgery.

I’m a sucker (pun intended?) for this band and love, to varying degrees, all of their records.

I think the criticism of Forever is fair, though Stay Awhile, Nothing to Say and Like I Never Existed are some of my favorites from them post Steve. And the the deluxe edition of Forvever is all bangers.

Finding a sweet spot between Makes Me Sick and the B-sides of Forever seems like a sustainable career path for these guys. They can still write bitching tunes.

    Yes, it's me

I agree with all this. Though there are some gems on the post-Steve records it's mostly bad. I think that they need to work with a songwriter.
