One strange dude

 

My favorite Jenkins bit is how he is like a super enlightened empath who loves his fans more than any artist has ever loved their fans. The speeches he gives at live shows, including the one on the Summer Gods live album, are wild when you square them with everything else that is documented in first hand reports about him as a person.

Been doing a TEB discography run. Might be a hot take but Dopamine > everything else.

 

I think Dopamine is excellent. It’s like their Everything Will Be Alright in the End, where it might not be exactly the band’s classic/peak sound but the songs are varied, incorporate some new tricks, and are generally fun and pretty decent front to back.

 

It's been a while since I've listened but I really loved Dopamine (and Ursa Major). Didn't care for Screamer or Our Bande Apart, however.
