I’ve eyed this series and I’m interested but I’m not big on Fantasy.

 

My goal is going to be 24. I’ve kinda found myself gravitating towards wanting to play more video games with my free time

 

It’s very much cozy fantasy. Extremely low stakes. Could easily just be humans in a small town sort of thing.

 

This intrigues me then. I’ll add it to my list, appreciate it.

Finishing Love Poems by Anne Sexton then starting the Swans oral history

 

I set my goal for 2023 to 50 and missed it by a large margin. I found myself distracted by a newfound enjoyment in video games earlier in the year, mixed with a severe lack of finding the right book to fit my mood. I gravitated away from thrillers which used to be easy for me to stack up "books read" numbers but wasn't fulfilling my enjoyment.

For 2024 I put my reading goal at 30 and think at some point in the year will start some Brandon Sanderson. Fantasy isn't my thing (yet), but I have done the thriller/horror to death that I do think I need a refresh and change.

I also have a bunch of Robert McCammon books on my shelf so I will knock out some of those too, as he's swiftly becoming one of my favorite writers.
