Then they've got DoN, Forbidden Door, All In, and All Out for sure...and that assumes no streaming deal or PPVs added. Plenty of time for Joe to have a run, drop the belt, whoever wins it to have a run, and MJF to be red hot heading into Full Gear next year to win back the title from them (Swerve please)

Politely, nobody in AEW moves ratings from a week to week perspective, and that was true of Punks final months. They do 850k +/-50k no matter how bad or how hot the show is going...its wild. The biggest draw for AEW, since basically it started, is Sheldon Cooper, whether child or adult form.

Only thing that makes me think he'll still be on camera for a few weeks (before getting written off) is the finish to that PPV was hot and they want to see if it does boost ratings.

I really hope AEW plays up the MJF being betrayed side of things, and not the "I might go to WWE" side of things going forward.

But if their goal is to pop the IWC into watching the show, nothing would do it more than MJF suggesting he's so betrayed that he might enter the Rumble.

 

I'm not his accountant but I would guess that he is getting good money in AEW... So if he goes to WWE it's probably not for the payout

They could not have picked a more perfect guy as the transition. He looks and talks like a killer...can lose any match to anyone and still be bulletproof to the crowd...and nobody is getting mad if he drops the belt on Wednesday, quite frankly.

edit: "Everybody starting fights around here, but nobody ever starts fights with me" is an especially great line when he was in gorilla for the CM Punk firing fight.

 

Figures that MJF is finally a true babyface by kayfabe logic and he’s gonna be gone and we won’t see it for a while.
