Last three matches were solid, but still probably the weakest AEW PPV in a long time

 

Great ending to a great second half PPV

 

I dont think it hits the same if his best friend turns on him while he's still champ. His best friend costing him the match and turning on him, leaving him with (in kayfabe) absolutely nothing though...

When he puts down Adam Cole for the belt at, say, All In 2024....the roar of the crowd is gonna be massive.

edit: Also, you cant work the "bidding war" angle if he's still champ on Jan 1. This adds some intrigue, especially because Andrade is gonna appear in WWE shortly, and MJF can reference that if needed.

 

Glad Joe won the title. From being a throwaway announcer to winning the title. Love it. He can have bangers with everyone. MJF/Cole doesn’t even need the title especially if MJF needs to not wrestle for a bit.

 

MJF/Cole doesn’t need the title for the feud. No need to hold the belt hostage while they’re both injured.

The Joe to Swerve transition is in sight now.

 

I wonder how it would’ve ended if Cole never got hurt but they did a good job of pivoting

 

So do you do Swerve/Joe right away at Revolution or do you do Swerve/Lee at Revolution so that Joe can get a bit of a reign before Swerve dethrones him?

 

A lot of the misteps of this reveal were impacted by that injury in which prolonged everything. Either way, I’m excited for a heel Adam Cole.

 

I am genuinely shocked that Joe won. Its the right move, but, not one I thought they would pull.

Wardlow in that stable as the muscle is perfect...he doesnt have to say a word, ever. He should start carrying Cole to the ring, Devitt/Fale style.

 

They can do Swerve/Lee on Dynamite or Collision. It's a filler match for a feud that expired many months ago.

 

That's where I'm at. Swerve is so hot right now, and I don't think Joe really needs a lengthy reign. Give him a couple of dynamite defenses against Mox and Bryan over the the next two months and the put the belt on Swerve where it belongs.

 

Adam Cole is an AWESOME heel too.

 

I mean, without the Grand Slam injury, I'd bet they "somehow" (aka, Adam Cole f's it up or the devils minons appear) lose the ROH titles at Wrestledream and then this happens at Full Gear.

 

From ROH->NXT->his first AEW run, he didnt change at all. He was just the smarmy heel with a faction.

First half of that PPV was like C-level WWE PLE levels of bad.

Final 3 matches were as strong as anything they've done at any PPV. When one of Eddie/Mox turn on the other, its gonna be their Sami/KO

 

My favorite part of Drew's behavior in this thread is that I'm a Packers fan but it makes me completely okay with the Packers not being very good because it at least means Drew isn't happy
