  1. The biggest mystery to me is how many casual Brockhampton fans missed him after the Saturation era like... you wanted to keep hearing the same verse on every song?

Yeah it really is wild when you think about how much variety members like Kevin and Joba are capable of

This user on r/brockhampton has been posting nearly all their unreleased songs, remastered using some sort of AI, in era-based bootlegs (like Puppy, TBYOOL, Technical Difficulties).

Looks like this was also unearthed this year:

So odd what this band chose to release and not release

Four Flat Tires on disc 2 of Technical Difficulties has a fucking insane Justin Timberlake feature on it. No idea why that never got released.

I'm so frustrated listening to a bunch of these songs and wondering what could have been, so if you'll indulge me, I'm going to engage in a little BH fan fiction:

I honestly think if the band ever gets back together, they need to just cut the bullshit and go for it. They have the hooks, talent, and work ethic to become international pop stars if they really want to be. If I'm their manager, here's the plan:

    - Cut Merlyn out of the band completely. Pay him for 2-3 verses on the new album, but he is no longer "in" the band.
    - Cut Jabari vocals out of the band. He can stay and make beats, but no more singing and certainly not with that vocal effect.
    - Hire a Kevin "social media handler." No more interacting with the public, no more teasing projects that never come out, and no more making life difficult for the others in the band.
    - Max Martin co-write for the lead single.
    - Several pop stars singing choruses/verses on the album. AND actually releasing those songs. No more leaving JT hooks and Halsey verses on the cutting room floor.
    - More Bearface singing. No Bearface rapping allowed.
    - ONE person has the ultimate say on songs/verses/choruses that make the cut. Maybe work with an outside producer for each album and give them that task.
    - Focus up, treat the band like a business/job, and hire a group therapist as needed.

Obviously it is extremely easy to look back and say "if they had done this," but I truly think if this band ever took the rifle away from their foot, they could have been even bigger.

  16. I really like The Family and TM, but I feel like my excitement for Brockhampton ended with those albums and that's okay. Listening to some of these unreleased projects now and it's cool, but not hitting me the way it probably would have in the prime of my fandom.

It's hard to listen to Puppy objectively with the one-off singles and parts that were repurposed in there. I really liked Joba when the band was active, but it sounds like they had someone to reel him in before releasing anything because some of his stuff on The Best Years of Our Lives is ROUGH. Dom's verse on that original version of "Where the Cash At" is hot, though.

  17. Damn. "In My Neighborhood," "Different," and "Missed Calls" are all great.

Is Joba on "Gave It To You" the worst thing this band has ever produced? Lol

Haha yes I agree a lot of the early stuff is rough.

Listening to Friday Therapy right now though and it is GOOD

Songs like One Fifty and Price I Pay are what I’ve been hoping for more of since Ginger came out.

  19. It would never happen but I genuinely hope they reunite without Kevin. Dude has become so annoying and took too much of the spotlight on Roadrunner.

Yeah it wouldn’t really hurt my feelings either. I appreciate his music but I had to leave the BH subreddit to get away from the drama.
