I also remember there being a lot of Jeff Gordon hate in the early-mid 90s. Was def a combo of him winning a lot, driving the rainbow car, and being “nice” and “neat” looking. He didn’t look like a blue collar redneck dude so he was gay basically lol.

I got vaguely into NASCAR for a bit in the 90s/early 2000s and hopped on the Gordon bandwagon since he was the best at the time
