I rarely eat steak anymore but used to be *obsessed* with it. A filet was pretty much my go to order at any restaurant - for about 15 years. I don’t know, I just stopped craving it.

Now I almost always order salmon (or another seafood dish).

That said, me and my 3 best friends meet up every 2-3 months and try a different steakhouse all over Northeast Ohio for the last several years. That’s the only time I ever eat steak anymore and even in those instances, I’ve been tempted to get something else - but the entire point is to try steak at different places.

 

Pasta is mid. Pasta sauces are great.

You can eat those sauces on anything and have nearly the same experience.

 

I’m ready for Italians to start fighting people in this thread.

 

I’m not a big Italian food guy despite having a very Italian American family on my dad’s side haha. But yeah good sauce on some pasta with meatballs and other things. My dad makes his own sauce but we usually just get Raos because making your own sauce is so time and labor consuming. I remember helping my grandmother peel garlic for my dad sauce, it was literally an all day process

Raos and Carbone are both great for jarred sauce but I would highly suggest making your own and using this recipe as the base: Quick 5-Ingredient Tomato Sauce I usually just put the immersion blender straight into the can of tomatoes.

Sauce making doesn’t have to be time consuming!
