Sometimes when I feel a sense of Taylor Swift fatigue, I have to remind myself that a lot of it has to do with the way a certain subsection of her fan base behaves and responds to things and not at all to do with Taylor herself, though I absolutely do think that some of what she does plays into the narrative that those fans live by. Still, though, there's always going to people who take it way too far.

Ultimately, for me, it's just an overload of new music in the last 3+ years. I'm such a sucker for the traditional album format, and as I've said before, I want to live with new Taylor songs for a while before immediately moving on to the next TV. It's just a lot to digest at once.

 

Quoting myself from the Midnights thread to update this. From Speak Now TV and 1989 TV, Bleachers performs in full on "I Can See You" "Castles Crumbling" "Timeless" "Out Of The Woods" "I Wish You Would" "You Are In Love" "Say Don't Go" "Now That We Don't Talk" "Suburban Legends" and "Is It Over Now?"

 

And one last thing that could be interesting. When you look at the songs from the Taylors Version albums and Midnights that Bleachers perform on, it's usually the whole band aside from Zem who joined in 2020. Why this is particularly interesting is that he only is on Midnights and 1989 TV, which leads me to believe that at least the Jack tracks from Fearless, Speak Now and Red were all recorded pre-2020 or during 2020 whereas 1989 and Midnights were recorded post 2020. Makes me wonder if she did actually re-recorded them mostly in order and then released however she wanted. Will be curious to see the credits of rep and self-titled to see if my theory carries through

Thank you thank you, I'm a big Jack fan so I've been pretty interested in how he's using Bleachers as part of Taylor's recording band for a fair amount of songs and that no one really has noticed it yet. The idea of "Taylor Swift fronting Bleachers" is kinda very cool to me

 

Can you imagine a full-on rock album from Taylor? My word. It's my dream release from her. I know it'll happen, just a matter of timing. The few times she's went full rocker, I've loved it.

I remember the survey myself and others got from her label back in *I think* the post-RED, pre-1989 era that was asking what their thoughts were of Taylor doing a rock album, and I was so excited about that possibility. Never came to fruition, but with things like her using that band, there's a higher possibility than before.

 

Yeah I think there's a whole world she can explore in the "rock" world. Would I love her version of Bleachers first two albums? Hell yeah. Overall it's a very intriguing angle, something she hasn't explored a ton so she could do a lot

 

I've wanted her to collab with Johnny rzeznik since Red. Idk why but my heart thinks it would work. Was also hoping the barbie movie soundtrack would push (ba dum tss) a matchbox 20 resurgence. Give me all the 90s/00s dentist office easy listening vibe influences. Tho I feel like we'd see that sooner from olivia than taylor these days. I also need a current pop star to go full Lilith fair vibes. Basically I need someone with talent to put a modern spin on my old faves. Is there anyone else who's serving this well rn? i usually don't buy into this stuff, but this looks legit, and lends more credence to the idea that she significantly rewrites portions of vault tracks whenever necessary.

there are other TikToks she replied with showing the rest of the sleeve and it legitimately looks like a misprint. i'd love for it to be fake though.

update: someone pointed out how other co-workers are distinguished throughout the liner notes with an & instead of the word "and" (which is what's listed here). so either there's one error in this misprint or this is an unbelievably good fake.

update 2: looks like more people have received copies with the jacket, so i'm assuming this was real.
