Yeah, the tiebreaker is head-to-head...the Gold League had 3 guys tied, thus the 3-way match.

Really smart use of Brody throughout the tourney, he gets to look like a beast (and cements Eddie's underdog status) which only makes Garcia beating him feel more meaningful.

Whole tourney felt like AEW getting back to its "tell stories through matches" roots

 

Yeah not only is Brody put over, but he also puts over Daniel Garcia in the process. The CC was great.

Hoping for women’s and tag team tournaments in 2024.

 

The CC is maybe my favorite thing in wrestling. I can’t wait to see it evolve and I hope that they utilize much how they did this year. I think it’s been pretty flawless so far.

also a perfect opportunity to give multiple guys like 4-8 weeks off. The tourney can take up so much TV time that they should utilize it as an offseason of sorts for people not in it. I’d really love to see Tony work in more breaks/time off for people, given how stacked the roster is.

 

Just seeing this Cathy and KO show. Nothing but good can come from it.
