One Piece Kai is desperately needed. They might as well transition to seasonal already

 

The ending to the latest JJK episode was insane. I can’t always follow the plot and special moves, but it sure does look cool.

 

On the other hand, today’s chapter of JJK was kinda fucking annoying

 

I guess this makes sense as the bomb girl arc is fairly short, but this means it’s going to be years before we get to see the really cool shit animated. I was hoping they would just do a two cour run next year.

really wish another studio could take over, MAPPA is already severely overworked and they’re not doing a great job with the show

 

The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really Love You is the harem genre's final form, at its most evolved.

 

Entertainment District arc has some wild ass fights. Probably my favorite arc so far.

 

Swordsmith Village Arc: Hantengu and Gyokko are so flipping ugly ugh. We had it so good with Daki and Uzui's three wives. At least Mitsuri is super cute. and Haganezuka when his mask comes off
Oh shit, the last episode is an hour long. I don't think I'm ready for this.

 

finished Demon Slayer! finale got me stressing even though in the back of my mind I knew there was no way they'd be killing off Nezuko

idk what to watch next...

Watching Lord El Melloi Case Files. Love me some Type-Moon lore. It’s cool to see a fate spin-off capture the feeling that Garden of Sinners had.

 

I would say Disney had a terrible year.

Anime had Vinland Saga (AOTY), Attack on Titan, Pluto, Frieren, Heavenly Delusion, and Jujutsu Kaisen just to name a few.

 

They did have all that but I'm concerned with the amount of shows and movies being churned out vs the amount the industry/workers can actually handle and potential burnout.

He talked about how everything has ups and downs but how so much is moving towards a digital landscape (which makes sense), but he fears a lot is being lost in the process. He sites Disney's transition to digital as a point when their stuff became disappointing to him.

 

I guess that makes sense. I’ve only ever watched anime from streaming, so I don’t know all about how it’s watched in Japan.

 

I'm just going off of what he's said and reports of bad working conditions from the past couple years. The amount of money people working on the shows actually make is sickeningly low.

It's really upsetting when anime has finally broken through to being more widely accepted. Getting all this great stuff and then realizing how many people are poor and working extreme hours while working on it is pretty heartbreaking.

 

Yeah there’s unfortunately been an insane amount of crunch on workers in the industry. Burnout is real

 

I wish all the bad press MAPPA got over JJK and the Zom 100 debacle would push for a reform in anime production, but I don't see it happening. Studios shouldn't be pumping out 7 series a year and "finishing" episodes they day they air. Makes me respect the hell out of studios like KyoAni and PAworks who put out only 1-3 shows a year and they're of fantastic quality.

 

I wish I could draw/animate. I'd take them down.
