I clearly have horror on the brain cos since I got to my parents' house I'm 2/2 with horror dreams. first night I was in a Halloween reboot and last night I dreamed about the dybbuk box, wonder what I'll get tonight to finish the trilogy

Since y’all have mentioned it a few times recently, I watched the ‘06 Black Christmas for the first time in years. Absolutely one of the best remakes of a classic.

 

Just finished watching the original Black Christmas for the first time. That was great! Those calls were soooo creepy!

The most recent remake with Imogen poots was fire imo. I adored it and was surprised I didn't hear positive word of mouth about it

 

I think the ending was a little out there, but I definitely remember enjoying it otherwise - I'm more surprised about the reappraisal of the 2006 one lol

 

Short recap because I've been quiet lately - did eXistenZ and Thriller: A Cruel Picture yesterday, both fire. Also did Silent Night, Deadly Night 3 which was... not very good.

Just did a lil double-feature of Dial Code Santa Clause and Jack Frost with a friend and now I'm about to dive into Silent Night, Deadly Night 4! Doing nothing much but watching movies over the holidays.

It’s been awhile so I don’t know how I’d feel about it now, but my friends and I loved it in high school. It’s by no means good, but was always a funny watch. It was brought up last night at our party so I feel like I have to rewatch in the next couple of days.

 

Hell yeah, definitely haven't seen this one. Maybe I'll rent it tomorrow night (or Christmas day)!

Silent Night, Deadly Night 4 is NUTS. So gross. Screaming Mad George is a wild man.

 

I love Brian Yuzna so much. One of the kids in Silent Night, Deadly Night 5 asks for a tape of Bride of Re-Animator for Christmas lmao

2006 Black Christmas is a nasty blast. I’ve always dug it, even if it does “go there” in far too many instances.

 

So did anybody else figure out the killer in Thanksgiving at the beginning of the movie? It was a fun watch though regardless.
