So yeah, they are continuing to say they wrote this as their last album. But they haven’t toured the album really because of lockdown and it and Protection have received so much love and praise I’m disappointed they they haven’t kept the window open to write more records. They haven’t said the band is over though. Even in this interview Scott talk about left over unfinished songs from Hold Fast that it sounds like they could complete.

Scott is very honest and chatty in the interview, but the interviewer never asks if they are done, if there is something next in terms of projects or really gets to the why (not that there even needs to be a why). Saying it was wrote as the last record means intended, but they could just say “is the last record”. As a big fan I’m just curious.

Went down a 90’s alternative rabbit hole the last couple weeks and ended on Ignorance is Bliss. Been spinning that and now this new one again all week.

I’m still so disappointed with the idea of this being their last record. Protection is awesome but NWOBT is even better because they captured a bit of everything.

Also, IIB I one of the most under appreciated stray from the path records ever. People talk about bands shifting all the time, but this is kind of the ultimate for me because they went from making one of my all time favourite records in self titled to a sonic shift of brilliance in IIB. Just showed the skill and range and guts.

Lost has always been my favorite song from these guys. Trevor's vocals on that sin and IIB, in general, are so fitting for the soundscape they captured on that album. Late 90's alternative goodness.

Face To Face is touring with Frank Turner and Trever has solo dates coming as well. Someone’s gotta ask if they are really done making music with Face to Face or if that was just their mind set. Also, we need a new Trever Keith solo album under his name like his Heading South cover

  9. Can't stop listening to this and I think it runs circles around most of the albums being put out by bands half their age

It really shows their professionalism and skills. They captured the best parts of each generation of face to face.

I think I can safely place this album as my 3rd favorite from these guys.

It’s that good. I actually listened to Acoustic yesterday and this one today. Had me wondering about their future, and wondering if Trever will a solo album more in the acoustic vein. I hope they keep going.

  13. Any official word from them yet if this is actually their final album or not?

No idea “officially”. People have said that they commented on it during shows and based on songs titles there seems like a finality…but they are still touring. I hope they keep going. What a great record. They keep showing the got it in them.

Hold Fast might legit be my favorite acoustic-rendition album of all time. It’s my second favorite from these guys’ discography haha.

Was excited, then confused, about this (new) track. Seems like there was a flexi disc of it from like 2015 or 2017
