The hardest parts of the last 6 episodes of The Crown for me to get through were the William falling in love with Cate in college plot. Felt like a corny Hallmark movie at times.

 

Excited they're gonna make this a show, but ambivalent on the casting given the nature of the MC.

In this day and age, when there are filmmakers out there like James Cameron, Martin Scorsese, David Fincher, Michael Bay, Zack Snyder and others proudly showing off the digital effects work in their movies, considering them valuable partners in the filmmaking process (and earning billions of dollars at the box office and awards and prestigious accolades in the meantime), it’s absolutely bizarre that certain studios and filmmakers steadfastly maintain the idea that marketing a modern movie means highlighting physical production while outright lying about their use of digital visual effects — and indirectly and directly insulting an entire craft in the process.

 

I liked the finale a lot,.but I think my favorite episode of the final 6 of The Crown was the Margaret episode. It's depiction of someone's health quickly deteriorating almost felt like horror.

Continuing to judge outfits in Seinfeld and George's outfit in the 2nd episode is fire. Very thoughtfully put together with the color combination. Which is interesting because it doesn't fit the way his character ends up being later on imo

 

The fits on Seinfeld are one of the best parts.

 

Don't watch this if you don't want to see behind the curtain. I was fooled in TG2, for sure.

Tell me why this episode was one of the saddest things I’ve watched all year, because holy shit that was gutting

 

Watched the first episode of the percy jackson show while at work. The acting is kind of rough and the dialogue with the step dad was far less cringe in the book. Idk if its the actor's line delivery or what but it was a hard listen. Everything else was good.

 

A week has gone by so i'll post some of the lines of dialogue in season 6 of The Crown that I felt like were direct shots to Harry inserted by Peter Morgan

" It must be hard being the likeable rogue when you're not even likeable "

" Don't do that. Don't ever compare yourself to mummy. What you're going through does not compare at all to the suffering she went through"

" You know King William II was killed by his brother. His brother also happened to be named Prince Harry. He staged it as a hunting accident and he went to claim the crown for his own. Don't worry I would never do that to you bro.... *Harry then coldly stares off into the distance with a blank expression for a long time* "
