The league objects because they're now selling ad space on jerseys, and LaFrance (the brand) isn't paying them any money to "earn" that level of visibility. It's funny because he has the exact same tattoo on his hand, too, but they haven't made him cover that one. Also, by making him cover the neck one, they're actually drawing more attention to that "unauthorized" brand than if they just kept quiet.
