Yeah, not only is this just a great song, but it's so amazingly well written and devastating. Honestly, when I read the song title "The End is Beautiful", it was just so evocative and powerful I thought there was no way the song could live up to the picture I had started painting in my head based on the name... I never should have doubted these guys.

I guess on one hand I'm kinda happy for you that you can't relate personally, but on the other hand I'd say you gotta get out and live a little. Get your heart broken. Unless you're really young. This board has been making me feel my age lately. I think I was the age most of you are now back when Futures came out.

    i'm 28. i just don't have feelings for people.

  3. I'm 27 and have absolutely had my heart broken but am generally unmoved by songs about romantic heartbreak at this point in my life. Maybe this should go in the unpopular opinions thread haha. I'm just here for the jams and this record just delivers and delivers.

That song doesn't even have to be about romantic heartbreak though.... I can relate it just as easily to the depressing of myself and others close to me (RE: the end is beautiful)

when a band with as many jams and favorites as JEW has already out there i wonder how many off this album become staples of their live shows and what they take out to make room for the new tracks.

With you there. Over time, I've become unaffected by a lot of that. I feel old.

Sure this has probably been posted but passing it on for those that haven't seen it yet. Like it even more than original version.

i love pretty grids. title track and the end is beautiful are my least faves, which is odd cause I'm usually a sucker for their slower songs.

The booklet that comes with the CD is so pretty. So is the inside sleeve. Everything about this album is rad.

I'm glad you have this song to relate to and hopefully help you in some dark times, but I just don't have that, idk what to tell you. There just really isn't a metaphor to make out of it to reflect any point in my remotely recent life, and the direct narration of a romantic relationship even less so.

Nope, I'm not feeling Pretty Grids either. I do agree with most that Get right really feels "right" behind PTB. The End is Beautiful is the one I'm most liking.

Pretty Grids is my least favorite as well. It's essentially this album's Higher Devotion for me.

Woooo i loved Higher devotion, it's a catchy pop song.

Pretty grids is more like a a less good night drive for me. And night drive is the song i listen the less from futures

Yeah I liked higher Devotion too. I like Night Drive too though. In fact 99%t of Futures I liked, minus Jen of course.

Wish I liked it more. Through and Roger are nice - and some of the singles are okay - but I put it in the same boat as the last two records right now.

After a handful of listens, I'd say I'm loving this album. I think it's their best since CTL. I appreciate most of the experimentation they employ on this album. It amazes me how much they can keep their sound fresh after all these years.

Currents favorites are You With Me, Sure And Certain, and It Matters

I love higher devotion. I love invented. I might like that one more than this one again. Idk

  25. Unrelated to Jimmy, the lyrics to Erase by Copeland straight up make my hair stand. Song wrecks me every time. Sooooo I'm not a total monster! Only a little bit ;-p
