My dad and I were in Des Moines on a road trip today, and we decided to check out a guitar shop before we left. I saw one of Tom's signature strats and immediately grabbed it and could not put the thing down. My dad and I talk a lot about music and gear, so he knew how long I've wanted one.

Anyways, I was getting ready to put the guitar away and leave when my dad told the cashier out of nowhere "yeah, we're gonna buy it" :verysad: Apparently he and my mom had been planning this as a birthday/christmas present, but I was so surprised I almost cried.

    Anyways, Happy Holidays!

This is crazy.... I love all these albums. (Never listening to Dookie is a crime, most of this stuff might not exist without Dookie.) I agree, Room's Too Cold is pure nostalgia, I revisit it and love it but not sure it's as "gettable" without the context of the scene.

Am I the only one who thinks this recording doesn't sound any different or better than the one we heard 20+ years ago?

  17. Yeah, in 2003, my list would like:

Blink-182 Untitled = Green Day Dookie = Weezer The Blue Album, etc. I wouldn't be able to pick many over another.

In 2003, most people would just put In Reverie last.

  23. My original list had like 20 albums, including Saves The Day, Thursday, Coheed, etc. but at that point it was just too long haha.
