Yeah, apparently it’s very regional. Definitely sucks, but I remember that I paid $70/mth for cable before, even if they go monthly PPVs, I’m at like $25/mth here instead.

I can't see Okada moving to America considering the popularity of his wife and their new child unless either company gave him the same sort of deal AEW gave Ospreay

 

I remember liking disco inferno as a kid but looking back I can’t remember a single thing he did

 

i would love to be able to watch Okada and i think people who think he wouldn't be booked well in modern WWE are fuckin high (imo)

 

I mean, is Okada a comfortable promo in English? Cause is anyone (maybe Asuka aside) over in WWE, or has been over in like, the last decade, otherwise? He's an incredible wrestler, and HHH has worked magic with dudes with limits for sure...but, he'd need to be a Paul Heyman guy or need a manager to have any shot in WWE (see: Shinsuke doing almost nothing his entire run, or Andrade not even getting on TV after Zelina was released)

Even with their recent hot streak, WWE's audience isnt that young or diverse. Its a lot harder to get an Okada over than it was, say, AJ Styles who can debut and talk instantly.

 

Or until she pissed off everyone backstage again...

Put me still comfortably in the 90+% he's returning to NJPW category, but if they lowball him, he'd honestly be a good fill-in for the role that Kenny Omega's clearly no longer going to be able to fill as his body is toast.

this is a good point but there's a 78 year old xenophobe that was a common throughline, HHH has shown as far back as Kenta that the language barrier is somethin' he's not super worried about, and rehabbing Shinsuke was one of his first orders of business. add that to TKO's mindset re: signing international talent to enter new markets and WWE's relevant lack of prominence in Japan and id bet it happens

 

It sounds like he got Barry Bloom as his agent. So more likely to be going to AEW

 

TNA should make a massive offer for him

its best for the industry at this point for him to stay with NJPW. He would be handled fine in AEW, the issue becomes more people get put on the back burner which really sucks
