really hope they end up releasing acoustic videos for all the songs. We've already gotten Sure and Certain, Get Right, and now Integrity Blues. keep goingggg.

Polaris is the bees knees. Also, Dizzy MIGHT be better than 23 on a good day but My Sundown definitely isn't

I've only listened to the album about four times today, but I'm throwing together a preliminary new ranking of JEW full lengths:

1. Clarity
2. Futures
3. Bleed American
4. Chase This Light
5. Integrity Blues
6. Invented
7. Static Prevails
8. Damage

Could change depending on where Integrity Blues settles after an extended period of time, though. This is a really complex record from a band who's made a habit of putting out complex records. Needs more time to process as of now. That said, it's probably my AOTY, at this point.

Same. Honestly, at this point, I kind of want Graham to just leave State Champs so he can focus on this project more. I want a second full length from him pretty badly.

 

Yeah, 100%. SLIYSL is way more interesting to me than SC

 

That cover is worlds better than any State Champs song I've ever heard, but to be fair the song is impossibly perfect to begin with.

 

Oh, absolutely, and also to be fair this version of the song doesn't do anything too radically different from the original. But Graham is a talented singer and musician, I really enjoy his work in SLIYSL, and it's one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite bands. I'm glad he did the song justice and turned in a solid performance.

 

Loving this album. Honestly, wasn't really on my radar. I've still been getting their albums but they haven't blown me away in awhile.

This is like the perfect Clarity/Bleed America/Futures mixture for me.

"Sure and Certain", "You Are Free", "The End is Beautiful" and "Through" are top notch.

 

The only list that matters.

Though Reeve Oliver is the GOAT.

 

Here It Goes doesn't get enough love, song is a JAM

 

So did the Webster Hall show really sell out in a few hours? I didn't realize they still pulled that off that with 1,500-capacity venues.

Impressions of IB after a few listens: 1) it's much darker and more subdued than I expected (way more Futures than CTL), 2) feels like a return to form on the production side, and 3) early favorites are "You With Me," "Sure and Certain," "Pass the Baby," and "You Are Free."
