Fields is ridiculously better than Pickett and is at least a realistic option instead of hoping someone makes the dumbest trade in historyc

  8. Fields is a better football player for sure because he can run. Take out the two games a year where he passes well and they're equivalent. Like yeah the Steelers will win 2 or 3 more games with fields but who cares. Still get crushed by KC or Miami in the playoffs.

He's a much better passer as well. He's played 3 fewer games this year and has as many TD passes as Picketts career. Fields at least has upside to bet on and I don't think the price will be that steep

I agree. I think teams with clearly limited and not-good (bad even!) QBs should consider trading for Fields just on the upside he presents. If he still stinks, oh well, you’re probably in position to draft another QB anyway

So I think the Steelers, Falcons, Bucs, Raiders, and even the Rams and Jets should consider him

whether or not you'll still get beat by the chiefs should not be the measuring stick you use to decide on whether or not to make certain position improvements. that is silly. 2 or 3 more wins sounds miniscule but 2 or 3 more wins would have the steelers in the hunt for the 1 seed today lol

  12. Why would the bears trade fields if he is any good plus they have two top ten picks

because they can draft someone who might be better and get a good return for Fields

Going to Longhorn for a company dinner next weekend. I've never been but after reading the past few pages I'm looking forward to it. Also now I'm hungry for a filet at 8am.

Chicago just wants to see what’s out there. They are, you could say, playing the Fields.

I've been a big and somewhat picky steak eater since youth because my mom worked in a grocery store and eventually became a meat cutter, so we had steak at least once a week usually and had all sorts of different cuts. Because of that I often avoided chain restaurant steak because it was never worth the price. That being said, a couple years ago a Longhorn opened up near by and we've gone there maybe once every 4-6 weeks on average for take out because the first time we did it, the steak was really really good. I would agree with everyone saying for chain restaurant steak it's pretty top notch. I last had Outback like 2-3 years ago and don't remember that as fondly.

I have always found expensive steakhouses to be worth it, TBH. I say that as if I've done it often, but could probably count on one hand if not two how many times I've been. Last time was June 2021 right at what seemed like the end of the pandemic for our anniversary. Unfortunately it was Ruth Chris' because it was the only fancy one within walking distance of our hotel, but it was goddam delicious. There's a local fancy place near by here that we did for valentines day once pre-pandemic that was absolutely ridiculously delicious as well. I'm a sucker I guess because I'd pay those prices for how good those steaks tasted lol

Is Fields really getting another arc where people think he’s good enough to pass on a top pick for

I mean i have absolutely eaten a $70 steak that i thought was worth every penny lol

ruths chris i think is more expensive than it rightfully should be (but so are alot of places). that said i'd pretty happily go into Peter Luger's on a saturday night and drop $300 on a dinner for two.

truthfully the thing that drives me the most nuts about a lot of higher end restaurants is the wine and liquor mark up, more so than the cost of the food. a dry aged filet by the ounce is still an expensive cut at a butcher, so its not insane to me to see a wagyu or dry aged choice cut for $50 or $60+ on a menu, but when i know im paying $45 for a $13 bottle of wine, that just grinds the 'ol gears into dust lol

Yeah I can't remember our bill at Ruth Chris, I wanna say it was like $250ish before tip, and the thing that I remember noticing was the one drink we both had being absolutely ridiculously priced lol

They did throw in a free dessert since I told them it was our anniversary though, so that was cool

No one should pass on a top QB prospect for him, but I don’t see why a team with no clear answer at QB that has a record of .500 or better shouldn’t send a third rounder for him
