I was just coming here to post that. Both of the big local theaters have them and I have never seen them open.

 

My theater in Florida put up a wall over their secondary concession stand and put up like 3 posters spots.

 

We should just put a wall around Florida

Our local AMC has a giant black curtain over the second concession area. They put a bunch of old arcade games and standees in front of it so no one thinks about it and how we used to be a proper country with a wealth of snacks.

 

Its a shame because the movies I go see are usually at the far ends of the hallway. A timely soda refill would be great.

I don't think this is a recent thing either. I'm from FL and I've seen at least a secondary concessions cart (almost always empty except maybe a few times on packed openings day matinees) as long as I remember.

 

My theaters have no second concessions booth and no arcade games. They should at least give us a Ms. Pacman/Galaga machine.

 

I fucking LOVE galaga. One of the first things I downloaded to my handheld emulator. Always played it on the boardwalk at the beach.

 

My regular one has a small arcade but I don’t even know what’s in there.

 

The no chairs thing is so idiotic.

 

I grew up across the street from my town's bowling alley and they had a Marvel Vs Capcom machine. That was all I did when I was there.

I hope everyone on the set who has Rheumatoid Arthritis or Gout or back injuries sues the living shit out of him. Like how can not having chairs in a workplace not be an ADA violation?

 

There are literally behind-the-scenes shots of him filming Oppenheimer where you can see chairs and people in them. Haha

 

The no chairs thing is psychotic, but I don’t believe for one second he stayed in the A Star Is Born voice for the entirety of filming.

 

The no chairs on set thing always makes me think of how cashiers in other countries are usually seated while they are forced to stand here. Different industries, but the same philosophy: work should be painful.

 

I worked at McDonald's for a few months when I was younger and the worst part was having to stand all day.

The no chairs thing is probably the director and maybe like the lead actors/anyone who wants to be part of it for whatever reason. Having zero chairs on set would probably go against all the various unions involved in a film production lol
