oh, friends' horror movie club update! quick recap, we started about a year ago watching a scary movie every other week, and my friends are not horror fans. so, Phase One was horror comedies, Phase Two was understated/intermediate horror. Right now we're in the middle of Phase Three, seriously scary, of which the last few films scheduled are Midsommar (director's cut), Watcher, It Follows, and Smile. So last Friday, I brought the latter two as well as Anna and the Apocalypse and Violent Night, in the spirit of December of course. We decided on... Prey. After I'd expressed that I've been meaning to rewatch it for a while now. I reminded them that we'll watch the scheduled ones sooner or later so they could just get it over with and they said they'd rather watch them later, haha. Anyway, they really liked it! Since it's more of an action movie it wasn't too scary for them. By the way, we watched it on Disney Plus because it was added as part of the Hulu beta, so that's cool. I really want it on physical, though.

 

Glad she’s back. I’m excited to see what they do with I assume a much larger budget. I rewatched the 2nd one last week and loved it just as much when I first saw it. It bides that line of creepy slasher, vile gross out horror and torture porn in a perfect way.

Holiday horror continues with P2 tonight! And this weekend will be a big one - Joe Bob's Christmas Special and Silent Night, Deadly Night 1 & 3 so I can do 4 & 5 before Christmas next weekend!

 

I ALWAYS forget about P2.. gonna add that to my list right now.

Damn, I remember liking P2 but I REALLY liked P2. Not exactly innovative, but it's tense, unique, and gory enough for thriller and slasher fans alike. Def recommend that one, it's on Shudder right now.

Certified freak movie. Robin Williams really sells it.

 

Robin plays bad guys really really well. OHP, Insomnia and Law & Order SVU.
