not sure how much or if at all you follow the nba but a season or two ago, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had some quotes get a lot of traction where he was super respectful and nice about the officials, and coincidentally, he was getting to the free throw line more than almost anyone else. it's funny

 

If you're going to complain about refs you have to complain that they are missing calls, you can't complain that they make the correct call that goes against your team. Thats beta behavior.

 

I don’t even know what the nba stands for, but, since Hurts just doesn’t throw to anyone not named Brown, Smith, or Goedert, then the refs should force the defense to remove players from their side of the field. It’s only fair

 

I don't think anyone is saying this makes him a bad role model for kids. Just that it's an embarrassing act to say that stuff to the other team's QB
