I just watched half of the Pelicans game yesterday. In-season tournament semifinal, and we lost 133-89 to the god damn Lakers

Orioles one of the elite teams all regular season and then bounced immediately from the playoffs lol

Pelicans go from having a 22-5 run against the Lakers in the first quarter to getting blown out by 44 points

It's almost worse than when all 3 teams were horrible and had no shot at the playoffs, that they now are "good" and have expectations but suddenly play like trash & way worse than normal when the bright lights are on

can't remember who but someone was really adamant to me that the pelicans were underrated and should be considered one of the best young teams in the nba or something like that

 

They just got CJ McCollum and Trey Murphy back a couple games ago and both were rusty and not hitting their shots in the game. Like, hooray we finally have our ideal starting 5 and our ideal 6th / 7th / 8th man, but It's so hard to be patient and wait for everybody to get back to top form, considering we've had 3 whole years of our best players NEVER being healthy together
