So tempted to go full wreckless mode in EPL and do like five transfers this week at full cost. Going crazy over here

Remember that point hits get taken into consideration in the cup. If you've been lucky enough to get an "easy" draw, you might be able to get away with a hit or two, but later in the cup every point matters.

The Euros next summer could be a real mess.

    hmmm

FPL manager of the week hasn't made a transfer since August, hence why he has four Fulham players. Iwobi was still at Everton when he selected him.

I'm amazed they've not corrected that bug. Seems like it wouldn't be difficult.

When even Maguire’s coming good… I think England might stand a chance this summer…

Need work out who plays in midfield with Rice, unfortunately Henderson will probably still get selected despite playing in a League Two level competition.

I’m so over him lol. I know he probably just slipped there, but he is notorious for just straight up running into the box and flopping

  16. January is going to be interesting. We definitely need a ST and a CB. But it’ll be tricky for both spots. We have two really good CBs so we’ll have to convince someone to come in and not be guaranteed starter minutes. And similar at ST, we have Son starting who will always get loads of minutes. And he’s not as good on the wing these days.

But I suppose that could make things more realistic for January. We don’t need starters. We just need depth. And those guys should be cheaper.

Didn’t Ange say there wasn’t much money for January, and he was going to focus on developing young players?

Then again, I’ve also seen that he’s targeting Guehi and Branthwaite, neither of whom will be cheap.

Regardless, next season I expect Spurs to be very competitive at the top of the table.

If Spurs want to progress under Ange then you need:
    - creative midfielder: Maddison is the starter but can pick up injuries and needs someone to rotate with to take pressure of him and his body
    - winger(s): Kulusevski isnt it. He's fine but he recycles the ball constantly and doesn't do enough as an Ange winger. You could do worse than try and get Jota on loan for 6 months.
    - Striker: Please don't come for Kyogo haha. Richarlison has been a massive failure.
    - Backup CB: Just for cover / rotation.

That's the January required to constantly challenge. Doubt it will happen though.

Ya, it's not happening; Immovable object Levy meets immovable force, the January transfer window.

Feeling confident but nervous about today.

Villa were excellent midweek, but I'm hoping playing their first 11 and not making subs until the 85th minute will mean they feel a bit tired. I also think the way we play might actually be exactly what Villa don't want to come up against.

I also found out that whilst Villa are unbeaten at home this season, that run is Everton, Crystal Palace, Brighton, West Ham, Luton, Fulham, and a depleted Man City. Plus they lost there to Everton in the EFL Cup. So they're good, but they haven't faced a whole lot in that run.

Tough game, and it will probably be close, but I believe.

Controversial, but I think VAR was used to the best of its value today in the CP v LIV match

Excited for ARS v AVL as a neutral. I’m feeling a 3-1 result but don’t know who comes out on top.

BT commentators won't shut up about the sending off. I can't be the only one that thinks it was the correct decision? Commit two dumb bookable offences, you get two yellow cards. Don't want to get sent off? Don't commit another dumb challenge to stop a counter when already on a yellow.
