I love the difference of replies in this thread between the easily influenced scared Fox News watching boomers that are like "omg whose funding them to get all this elite tactical equipment????" and the veteran tactical gear bros that are like " lol this like baby's first airsoft loadout. They look like they got their shit off Wish"

 

this won't happen. too many vested private interests against it. the California state gov exists to enrich them, not the ppl who would use this

you can tell what a country's priorities are by what gets done quick and what doesn't

 

I'm not sure but it mainly just rubbed me the wrong way that he was willing to admit that he almost didn't run except for he's likely to face Trump and has to stop him (as if he thinks he's the only one, and that just shows he's tone deaf / egotistic / ambivalent to the criticism he's facing).

When there's a good portion of people who don't want you to be the nominee again, you probably shouldn't admit that you almost gave up.

I did not really expect CAHSR to get anything, so this is great to see. It needs waaaayyyy more though.

 

Ehh, I'd bet that $3 billion goes to both. Brightline West is a private company so capitalists generally don't have much objection to it and it will service vacationers.

I'm kind of surprised that any was awarded to CAHSR because that's one that more designed to move people for commutes or general travel. $3 billion is a drop in the bucket for the estimated cost of completing it though, so this looks more like a thing for Biden to use on the campaign trail than it is actual help.
