Putting aside that if Biden really wanted to "stop Trump" he should do a better job at being president, who among the Democrats has a better chance that we actually want?

This is a serious question. Who is our protagonist currently?

In the real world, probably no one. Switching candidates at this point creates a sense of weakness and panic that could be hard to recover from. Beyond that, all the candidates that would both 1. be interested and 2. have a decent shot of beating Trump will almost definitely be from the non-progressive wing of the party, so they'll be attacked as being the same as Biden and thus what's the use of voting etc etc. Basically all the same things we're hearing said now.

Theoretically, based on who they are and how well they communicate, any one of Pete, Newsome, JB, Whitmer, Booker, etc would probably be really good candidates. They're all great at speaking and explaining things and communicating with voters, and/or have good "vibes" to them, etc. Kamala has proven to be a terrible politician but maybe she could rally too. My personal preference in a "who has the best shot to beat trump" argument out of that group is probably one of Pete, JB, or Whitmer. I think Newsom should bide his time until 2028, but that's just me thinking he's probably too "toxic" to people still after covid and some of the slimey stuff he did.

this is a random racist (going both ways) situation tho. ultimately the only people who can be disciplined are members who are actually in the organizations that put on protests.

He's good at explaining shit and personable, people seem to like him. The only reason why none of us do is because we thought he was gonna run more progressive but decided that lane was too full and tried to go the moderate lane in the primaries and contradicting some of his earlier better stances and coming off as a shitty politiciany moderate Dem. I'd still take him over most of the other Dems tbh.

Though to be fair if you asked me back then I woulda taken him over Biden, and then Biden ended up governing and talking way more to the left than I was expecting him to, so who knows.
