Weatherbox is like, probably the only "big" band I can claim hearing about super early. A friend from San Diego gave me a burned cd of a few early tracks from the band in 2005.

Been put on some meds that have made me feel better than I have in a long time and made me gain interest in my hobbies again. Haven't played much guitar over the past several years, but having a lot of fun with it despite my mistakes

Threw together a randomass cover of I Want To Know Your Plans

Sounds dope. I think vocally you're unsure whether to be clean or gruff and picking one would help, but it sounds great. Glad you're feeling better! I just had a manic episode that has potentially ruined my life but also potentially not. Here's to nothing.

Thanks y'all! Feels good to just be messing around with music again. I've been in a dark place with my bipolar for a very long time, been doing dumb shit, and was hospitalized all weekend with cardiac issues and somehow I just woke up in a crazy good and productive mood. Who would have known that having a normal heart rate and blood pressure could cheer me up?

There's also the possibility that I'm having my first manic moment in God knows how long, but hey, that's ok too!

Say Anything doing a full tour of IARB makes me want to scream.

    Max is just a scumbag.

Yeah didn't they already do an IARB reunion tour 5-7 years ago? I went to that one

I wish people were actually held accountable for scamming their fans and being a shit bag.

I mean his family's broke and he's a constant mess. He's not living it up and Say Anything IARB tours aren't going to make him wealthy. He doesn't seem to have a handle post-mania mindset.

I think this crap is a dead horse by now. Hope the dude gets himself together.

The venues on this tour seem huge. Do they actually pack out venues that big?

  20. Zilla

    Trusted Supporter

I think they can at least get a big enough crowd to justify the venues just because there’s enough nostalgia for IARB. If it was just a regular Say Anything show, I would say no.

Either way, Max can kick rocks.

Yeah stage ae feels way too big for a band that no one has cared about in 10+ years.

It's a ""reunion"" and it's by far their biggest album, so I guess the venues make sense even though I was a little surprised at first too. Honestly I will probably go. I get why people are anti-Max, and maybe it's enabling of me, but I also see it as the money is going to go to supporting his kids.

Do as you feel comfortable. But there’s no guarantee any money will go to support the kids. I mean, hopefully! But we can’t know that.

1/10th of fans are us who read forums and stay up on things.

Most people aren't. Saves The Day's doing fine. Dance Gavin Dance is fine. Brand New would be fine. Say Anything will be fine, i think?!?

No band in pop-punk has been significantly hurt by their members doing shitty things, unless lostprophets is somehow pop-punk adjacent. There’s no real accountability besides small pockets of fans like this.
