Yea, I’ve heard their behavior this tour has been weird… dang, starting to wonder if this band will work out

 

I’ve seen a ton of bands do that lol cmon now

 

Sounds normal to me

 

Encores have ruined people

 

they literally don’t have enough songs to do an encore

 

People have been posting that their vibe has been off this whole tour with PTV.

 

The encore charade sucks, and I’ve seen plenty of bands not do an encore (both with and without informing us) but I don’t think I have ever seen a band not at least announce it’s their last (or last few) song, and I’ve been to over 150 shows. I could maybe see a huge band finishing on their biggest song so it’s obvious they’re done, but that is definitely not normal in my experience, not even for an opener. I’ve seen more bands play a single song twice (shout out to Thursday playing Understanding to start and finish a show lol).

 

It's funny because Saosin did Seven Years as an encore, after already playing it in the main set, when Anthony came back but before the new album

 

I've seen countless shows that end without the artist saying shit

 

Especially if they’re an opener

 

Was not expecting an encore at all, but when I say they just ended it was like no one I can recall ending before, especially for a band like them.

and then somebody needs to tell PTV what set flow is… absolute zero flow between each song played. And then the encore… that was maybe the longest it’s taken for a band to come back out with least excited/chanting for an encore I’ve seen.

 

I just watched several clips from the tour on twitter and they seemed to sound and look great to me, also saw a bunch of weirdo fans still mad about the ai shit, like grow the fuck up who fucking cares

 

How does anyone know that “the vibe has been off” on this tour? Has anyone been touring alongside them and hanging back stage? Have they said something in an interview? Or is this just based on that person who hopped on here a little while ago to say that their friend saw Anthony at a bar on tour in addition to now they didn’t do an encore?

Then I saw this as well. So it’s not just one post. But yea I mean maybe these people are wrong, but it’s odd a bunch of people are posting the same types of things

 

Shocking that a touring band has a bad set from time to time

 

Past lives was my aoty last year and I loved seeing them at the first Unitarian church and at adjacent, just mildly concerned!

 

I'm pretty sure it's mostly 15 year old MCR fans who just can't let go of the AI art thing and are now dedicated to trashing the band lol

 

Some real boots on the ground reporting here

 

It’s this. People like that were trying to spread that Dunes was booed off stage at one of the early PTV dates and people took it as fact, while people that were actually there said it never happened.

 

They did an encore at the show I went to. Which kind of surprised me

 

They’re touring with Pierce The Veil, right? Is LS Dunes even headlining on the tour?

Edit: Yeah, just saw that Pierce The Veil is headlining. Why would anyone expect Dunes to do an encore?

 

That does not feel like a good tour for them.

 

I thought it was a strange tour when it was announced because I remember Thursday saying they hated the tour they did with Bring Me The Horizon back in 2009, that Pierce The Veil was also on, because a ton of people didn’t stick around for Thursday after BMTH and the openers

 

I just can't imagine dudes in bands from Saosin/Circa Survive/Thursday/Coheed/MCR really vibing with opening for a band like PTV. There's SOME crossover there, but not a ton IMO.

 

PTV has been around awhile, so it wouldn't surprise me if they've played shows with the guys other bands before.
