Well, Dragonsteel have really outdone themselves in every way this year.

Weird vibe though. Instead of exhibit halls and panels, there's just a single room with a giant throne in the middle, like 50 feet tall. The lights are all weird in here, so I can't see who's sitting on it, but people in robes keep telling me to "praise the coming of Ado" and are trying to make me kneel before the throne with everyone else.

The reading from Stormlight 5 last night was excellent. There's probably a transcript online if anyone's curious.

Brandon also indicated that after Stormlight 5 revisions are done, he intends to work on a prose White Sands; the next Mistborn trilogy, Ghostbloods, which will be written completely before the first book is published; and Elantris 2 and 3, after which he'll return to Stormlight 6. Might be other projects in there, but that's the plan for now.

I bought The Poppy War and The Shadow of What Was Lost today, I just want to be with the times

I haven't actually read these. I've heard mixed things about Poppy War but I think it's generally positive. James Islington is one that I want to get to. I read the Will of the Many and it was fantastic so I hope i'd enjoy this series.

 

Poppy War is fantastic. And extremely dark.

I didn’t really regret not doing the Year of Sanderson until the Mistborn bookends. It’s been a rollercoaster since.

 

Whew, finally caught up on Stormlight. Finished ROW last night.

I'd also love to do a reread of Elantris, Mistborn 1-3, and Warbreaker, since it's been ages. I bet I can knock out most of that stuff before W&T next year.
