Well the Patriots main issues are:

1. Drafting - outside of a rare hit in what feels like 5-6 years, they cannot draft an offensive skill position to save their life besides a freakin' RB.
2. Spending money on right players - rarely does it feel like they will spend big money on the right skill position players. Judon worked. But for every Judon is 30 different of JuJu/Riley Reiff/Agholor
3. Coaching decisions and scheme - Patricia and Judge was the single worst move ever, and somehow they still regressed this season. Never mind his freakin' kid on the staff

I think there's one certain individual to blame for all of this and needs to be gone at the conclusion of week 18.

Drafting - Hitting on a 5th-round guard is fun and all, but can we maybe try and hit on a premium talent too?

Free Agency - Honestly this is the best of the three sections Donnie laid out...on defense. I don't mind a lot of the dollars they've spent on the defensive side of the ball. Judon and Peppers have been impact players. Jahlani Tavai has also been a really solid pickup. On the offensive side, it is ugly. Jonnu? Horrible. Nelson Agholar? Horrible. Hunter Henry? Meh (I don't hate it as much as the rest but not looking to do another 4 weeks on this with Dink. But the super unforgivable one is paying JuJu the exact same contract Jakobi Myers got. What the fuck are we doing here?

Coaching - Yuck, yikes and eww

I just gave you some facts that illustrate why I’m not happy with Press despite our offense having a couple good games and scoring just enough to win most the time

Exactly! Bill can spend and find defensive talent and I'll give him that credit. Their defense is good. Offensively ... ohhhh no. And with it being such an offensive minded league I feel like we are still so set in 2010 and we don't have Tom Brady.

This team needs a refresh/restart/rebuild (on offense) and I just want some young random ass offensive dude that comes from a new wave of thinking to bring new energy and momentum because it is specifically what they need. I do NOT feel good with Bill picking top 3 and developing that guy. I also like Mayo but low key really just don't want a defensive head coach.

he's been pretty mid in coverage... i havent noticed him blitzing as much this year, our safety depth has kinda sucked so i get it but bringing in Amos might let Pitre roam around and be around the ball more, which is his strength.

They definitely need a full offensive rebuild and reboot whatever you want to call it. I agree the last 5 years have been really poor for Bill in that regard and I don't blame anyone for thinking he can't handle it at this point. Reasons I'm still on board:

-the defensive value is there
-I think there's a good chance that if Bill's out they just go with Mayo and I think that's a brutal plan if the idea is total refresh. Love Mayo and love the idea of him succeeding Bill, but don't love the idea of him succeeding Bill because their offensive ineptitude is getting Bill fired
-there's probably going to be what, 8 or 9 HC firings this year? I don't know that I want to move on from Bill in the most competitive coaching market we've seen in a while

but most of all:

Mac Jones and Bailey Zappe really are that bad. Do I think Bill deserves no blame for that being the QB situation? Of course not. But I also think the fear across the fanbase of Bill blowing a top 2-5 pick are overblown, I think they'll get a franchise QB or MHJ or an elite tackle, and given the state of the defense and his career I'm willing to give BB one more chance to oversee a rebuild.

Wouldn't mind a stronger voice in the process - I know everyone thinks Bill is going to balk at any responsibility walkback of his Football God role in the Patriots org, but I have to imagine there are some fascinating conversations already happening between him and the Krafts. I don't think it's a foregone conclusion he'd view leaving in shame for LA or wherever as more palatable than staying on and having to collaborate on the personnel side, but who knows.

Despite us having a difference of opinion of wanting to give Bill one more shot and me wanting to move on from him now, you've said absolutely nothing I can fundamentally disagree with lol

Tbh this just proves to me good coaching was def plwying a major role in making him look cleaner than he did in college
