Really enjoying NFS Unbound and Callisto Protocol. Games are good

 

Unbound is visually one of the coolest racers in recent years

 

I threw myself back into Alan Wake 2 and now agree that the writing is phenomenal. I wasn't into it after a few hours in, but after about 20 now I'm all in on it. I really love case building as Saga, but I'm only meh on the plot boarding as Alan.

Fuck this Scratch guy.

If shadow of the erdtree isn't shown at the game awards or if the release date is too far away, I will probably pick up Lords of the fallen.

there’s a ton from this year I want to pick up but haven’t. Lords of Fallen, Jedi Survivor, RE4, Alan Wake 2, and I’m sure I’m missing some.

 

I’m waiting until Jedi Survivor drops on GP via EA Play

 

Just want you to know every single time you talk about it you make me want to grab it immediately, and only the looming promise of Christmas makes me hold off. But if it's not under the tree, I will be snagging it immediately thereafter, because it looks amazing.

 

Dark souls 1 was not easy for me the back half of that game made me quit because it was so annoying and tedious

 

Player's Log: Trails of Cold Steel.

I'm in the Field Study of Chapter 6. Just got my assignments and visited the stores for new wares, which is my stopping point for the evening.

I admit I already know who some characters really are in this game, to an extent, and it makes my interactions with them very interesting, because even though I know who they are, I don't know why they are or what their deal is. I only know enough to be intrigued. Specifically about Emma, Crow, and Vita.

Makes me anxious to know if the shoes drop in this game or in the next one.

Anyway, I've got this section of Chapter 6 and then the next chapter is the last one, so I'm guesstimating I could probably finish this game over this coming week and the weekend, and then start Cold Steel II next week. I'm probably being too optimistic though.

I will have to play the game a second time, at least to clear it on Nightmare difficulty and also because I'm pretty sure I missed scanning a monster.

My trainer actually allows me to auto-scan enemies if I have a Quartz equipped, but one of the sidequests required me to let an NPC get the final blow on a monster to get extra AP from the quest, and NPCs unfortunately can't equip Quartz, so it didn't auto-scan. Whoops.

I'm excited though! I wish I didn't have to work tomorrow and I could just keep plugging my way through this. Love this series, the world, the characters, everything. I'm going to be sad when I'm finished with them.

Getting through Anor Londo was one of the most frustrating experiences ever

 

Even the blighttown type area was awesome in Lords

But yes, DS1 is definitely best experienced with a co-op buddy lol

I think my opinion on this is known. Anyway, this whole thing mostly makes me want to check out that game. Sounds sweet.
