not demonizing maybe but i think theres a couple of you guys that arent exactly sympathizing w bikers too much lol. i feel like they get more hate in the cities but as someone thats spent a lot of time driving on hilly winding narrow rural/suburb pa roads i think theyre way more annoying out there

 

Should outlaw cars in cities. Make everyone bike.

I wholeheartedly agree though that if bikers are expected to be treated like another vehicle on the road, those mother fuckers need to obey traffic laws and stop at red lights and whatnot

As I’ve said, my only context is Boston. A city 3 miles wide that takes 45 mins to drive through because of traffic. So losing lanes/parking and making that problem worse to dedicate resources to a mode of transportation that is impractical 50% of the year is MADNESS to me

Has anyone encountered a critical mass event?
In SF a legion of 1000s of bicyclists legit block all major roads in the city, including thoroughfares to bridges / highways / airport roads during rush hour.

with a goal of getting the city to encourage more biking : public transit and shaming gas guzzlers.

Made me miss a flight. Will never forgive them. Lol

 

NYC is trying to do this now. Depending where in NYC you live you may need to pay a 'congestion fee' for owning your car.

 

Been up since 3 in the morning because my exes sister called me and asked if I could drive her 30 minutes so she could pick up my drunk ex that tried driving home. Seething at the irresponsibility. Also need to chug about 4 energy drinks to make it thru work today

 

If we do this though, is it still a safety issue? Or is it drivers just being salty that they can’t go thru the red light also, cause if you’re jealous they get thru heavier traffic faster maybe you should try biking yourself

I gotta say you’re a real sicko if you’re biking in the exact same lane as cars. Even if it’s technically the law in places, you’re just asking for trouble lol
