The refs were bad but the broadcast made them look worse than they were by

1) not showing the illegal shift penalty - which still looked like an illegal MOTION penalty from Tank Dell moving north-south before the snap started, maybe they called the wrong thing? But the broadcast was mid replay during all the pre-snap Motion so you can’t see if there was a second dude in motion or not.

2) the first PI that happened in the redzone was legit. Second time watching I saw the Texans defender hold back the WRs arm right as the ball was arriving. The replay angle was terrible (CBs body in the way) and you couldn’t see it unless you’re looking for it on the broadcast angle, but holding the arm back is 100% PI no matter how subtle.

what I definitely didn’t agree with on the Texans side, was the penalties on the second red zone drive. That one I was mad the Jags needed soft ass phantom penalties to score a touchdown when Engram was open on second down before all that. But imo that’s balanced out by a whole interception happening vs Trevor because Engram got held back from the spot and the refs didn’t call it.

The point of that original tweet though is thats EXACTLY how Tyreek Hill runs that motion about 30 times a game. He's going N/S before the snap like 50% of the game.

But yeah, clearly the illegal shift was from before that clip started, since Tank is nearly even with the Tackle by the time the clip starts
