Welp nevermind! Same old. 184 Palestinians dead and the White House manages to blame Hamas.

 

I just want to share probably my favorite politician in the entire country. Clearwater, FL Vice Mayor and city council member Mark Bunker. He has been the leading critic of the Church of Scientology and it's predatory nature towards Clearwater since the mid 90's, and was heavily involved in advising Anonymous during the Project Chanology thing in the late 2000's. Now he is the #2 guy in the city. Probably one of the few campaigns I am going to donate to.

 

Local Clearwater politics involving CoS influence is so insane. For example here is a big local scandal that happened a couple years ago:

• City Council approved turning the old firehouse downtown into affordable housing.
• Senior CoS officials who had eyes on that site for years to as the perfect location of an L Ron Hubbard Museum that they want to build go straight to the Clearwater City Manager with a land swap deal, the CoS gets the old firehouse, and the city gets a church parking lot for their housing.
• The City Manager approved the land swap without consulting city council.
• The state of Florida then rejects the parking lot as a suitable site for housing, so it gets the axe.
• In the end the Scienos get their prime real estate for the pedophile museum or whatever, the city now has a parking lot they can't do anything with, there is still no affordable housing downtown, and city council was fucking pisssssssssed and fires the city manager.

All this hype around what is basically this generation's Plymouth Prowler. You'll see it occasionally on the road being driven by your city's biggest dickheads and then it will disappear in 5 years.
