didnt zach say in the chorus interview that pol roger was always gona be the closer? id be suspicious that the order on the board was the intended order of the album, or just the order they recorded them in, or just random.

 

He means the order on the side of the board, with "My Enemy" at the top and "Integrity Blues" and "Pol Roger" at the bottom. That's a working tracklist for sure.

And yeah, like Zach said in the interview Through was originally the leftover bonus track and then they threw it onto the album thank god, and there it is on the right separate from the complete tracklisting.

 

So Through was originally a b side? That would have been a bad idea

 

Maybe Pretty Grids, sure, but don't touch The End Is Beautiful lol.

Also if you swap it out for either song it really, really doesn't work in the tone of the album, trust me I've tried, just to see,

 

ok pretty grids is growing on me that bridge is gorgeous

Ok I'm going to say something negative about the album.

There's a few moments where I want the rhythm guitar to be mixed louder.

Just started listening to this and already hooked. Production is gorgeous- dreamy without being aloof or lacking in kick, love it.

 

This might be my single favorite verse Jim has ever written.

 

Darn, I'm not liking this as much as I thought I would. Pre-ordered it too. I'll give it a listen in my car and see if my opinion changes. The released singles are really the only tracks I like, "Sure and Certain" being tops

Listened five times and it continues to exceed all expectations I had.

 

On my 3rd listen - There's not a song on here I don't love, but The End is Beautiful is without a doubt one of the most gorgeous songs I've ever heard.

 

Best album in years. Not that I didn't enjoy the last three, but this one - wow.

 

Finally listening! I'm in heaven you guys.
