Has there been any update on Lucky Boys Confusion? They were supposed to be pressing (re-pressing?) at least one of their albums right?

Double Decker Records in Allentown, my hands-down favorite record store ever, is closing up shop on Saturday and I'm absolutely gutted.

 

Yeah they announced Craft Recordings was going to release Commitment... I'm sure it's coming soon...though after the last week of drops and sales, I'd rather later than sooner haha.

Anyone that ordered Suicide Machines from Asbestos Records hear from them yet? I never even got a confirmation email. Their site is from like 1998 so I should not be surprised.

 

Would this thread be interested if I do a Chorus interview series next year with label leads, possibly vinyl industry executives, and/or other ideas to get some insight on what goes on "behind the scenes" for re-presses etc.?

Got a reply on Instagram saying that the release has been cancelled. It's crazy that they gave multiple delay updates over the course of a year and then went completely silent on it. I'm wondering whether any variants got pressed, or if they just scrapped the whole thing. Hoping they at least send the rest of my order soon.

 

Absolutely. Honestly, any coverage of the vinyl industry in general would be very interesting to me. Since I come to Chorus for music news, I'd love to consume music-adjacent info here as well.

I really want The Animal Years on vinyl. I see there was a pressing in 2019. Resale prices are high too - damn.
