He was supposed to played Shaky Knees last year, but cancelled late - he was billed second behind Green Day

Not bad at all... But like a lot of those festivals there's a steeeep drop-off for me after the first 2-3 lines each day.

I thought Win basically admitted to being a manipulative abuser and then it was completely dropped but I could be misinterpreting his statement.

Watch it be a Riot Fest Presents

also are we sure Riot is the same weekend this year - probably will be but aren't a bunch of music festivals in Chicago moving different weekends for next year

I don't think dates have been announced yet, but I may have missed it..

Can't speak to the Chicago festival dates but I know there was discussion about Supernova and at least one of the bigger active rock/Wimmer festivals pushing out a weekend.

    The intrusive whisper fascinates me

Random thought: Would RHCP be a possibility for a headliner? Or would they be considered a “too big act?”

I just recalled they’re playing Innings Fest in AZ next year, which is one of those “low-key fests with pretty big headliners” festivals similar to Ohana or Sea.Hear.Now.

They headlined Chicago in 2022, did Lolla this year, so maybe there would be room for them to do Riot next year?

Thinking about it more, I feel like it would make sense and could work. RHCP would be an attractive headliner where big fans of the band would cop a single day ticket for them, but more casual fans would pass and wait for the next time around. The average Riot attendee would probably wanna skip them too… haha

Probably way off, but just a thought

Yes, but I don't think they will be next year - then again, I was pretty sure we were getting Green Day next year lol

Foo Fighters playing this year really changed the game

I wish I could see how much they pay all the bands

  13. RHCP is the ultimate "watch three songs and go home early" festival headliner for me.

Was once easy to find booking rates. Probably still isn’t hard.

Fully expect to be one of - if not the only one who thinks that lol

    I don't think they'd play though

Idles being out isn’t a huge loss to me. Seen them before, underwhelmed.

No Chicago dates on RHCP's summer tour - but I still doubt they play NEXT year - esp. after playing Lolla this year - it's only 15 dates or so and misses a lot of markets

Ha, I was going to say that the dates line up well for Lolla but that literally happened last year
