yeah I wouldn’t eat seafood either if it took 2 days to ship it to my state lol. That’s why it tastes extra fishy and salty and sour, it’s not fresh (but also y’all probably didn’t grow up eating it the same way coastal people do)

Delaware beaches are indeed superior to Jersey (can't speak for NC but I'd still rather be in Dewey than in the Outer Banks based on everything I know from people who vacation there haha). Jersey does have some nice beaches, I love Stone Harbor, but the towns feel a bit TOO...idk what the right word is. Cookie cutter? Like so much of it feels like/looks like Sea Haven from the Truman Show. Sea Isle City is a big party town but I like Dewey, has the combo of small town+party town. Wildwood's beach sucks, AC's beach sucks. Ocean City somehow finds a way to be more boring than Stone Harbor, though at least the boardwalk is cool. Can't really speak to anything north of those, but I think there's guidos there.

Delaware beaches are the shit. Rehoboth gets overcrowded but the rest of them are all very chill beach experiences. Bethany gets crowded on the beach right on the main drag, but elsewhere it's fine, Fenwick is also pretty chill. Lewes is on the bay so I don't really count it but my son did love going in the water there because it was way more calm compared to the ocean. The town of Lewes itself is a cute little town though.

Dewey Beach is amazing and the only people I personally know that have been there and don't love it are either 1. people trying to fool themselves into thinking they're too "fancy" and "above" the Dewey Beach way of life, or 2. Are jealous that their current significant others hooked up with men/women there in the past before they met them and came to Dewey with them. Everyone else, from kids up to old people, love going there lol

 

Outer Banks is my fav shore destination. Not terribly crowded. Only thing to do is the beach. Don't need a boardwalk or other dumb shit.
