Last weekend, I went to a great Ethiopian restaurant in Oakland, and my friend brought a bottle of St. Lam to share there. Definitely a memorable meal, the food and drink actually paired super well together!

Grabbed some black note, bourbon county, deth’s tar today. First time I’ve grabbed beers on Black Friday in probably 6 years. Great to walk in and get these at 2 pm in the afternoon haha.

I haven’t seen any deth’s tar around me and I’m sad. Rev is my favorite and I feel like they reduced distro here.

picked up a few bottles of bourbon county and the variants today though

Not beer but I've been looking for this 5ever because it's the perfect holiday cider with glitter like a snow globe and I've been obsessed ever since i tried it a few years ago. I don't even remember how it tastes I am just a sucker for the gimmick. I didn't expect to see it and I grabbed it immediately. Watch, now I'll never open it cause it's ~special lol

I just saw that a store in SF got some Deth’s Tar and Straight Jacket but haven’t made it out there. Hoping some places closer to me will get them, since I’ve seen some other Revolution beers around recently.

I randomly found some Cafe Deth a couple weeks ago when I was in Illinois. Thought it was exceptional. grabbed some BCBS and some BA Great Lakes Christmas Ale yesterday.

Tombstone is about it. If there are others they haven’t made any waves yet.

My personal favorite is St Bernardus Christmas Ale which is a Belgian strong dark ale. Brasserie DuPont’s Avec Les Bons Voeux is another good Belgian option. For an American-made beer, I’d go with Deschutes Jubelale. Have also heard great things about Great Lakes Christmas Ale but have yet to try it. And then Sierra Nevada Celebration is a classic if you like IPAs

If you are in San Antonio then I highly recommend Saint Arnold Christmas.

"A rich, copper colored, hearty ale perfect for the holiday season with a malty sweetness and spicy hop character. The generous use of five different malts is responsible for the full flavor and high alcohol level of this beer."

My dad died unexpectedly yesterday. He’s the person who got me into good beer. This can description feels especially poignant. The beer is fantastic and I am very grateful for this community even if I don’t post as often as I used to.
