Yup. Might even beat out Chase This Light for me, but can't make that determination until after spending more time with it, haha.
Chase This Light is certainly their catchiest but probably also their safest from a songwriting standpoint.

 

4 listens deep now. In love with this one. Lots of new stuff with touches of Futures, def heavy Clarity vibes at times, I also hear lots of BA on here - particularly in the way Jim sings "The End is Beautiful."

Get Right probably deserves to be higher in all honestly, but I overplayed it to the point that I no longer really get a kick out of listening to it, which is a shame.

"Get Right" works a lot better in context than as a single. I was very underwhelmed by it as a single, but in the album I enjoyed it.

hearing it live took it from "like it a lot" to "love it" territory for me. i fully expect to continue to love it in the context of the album. great song.

 

I feel like Through could be awesome but the structure is a little weird to me. Plenty of verses but not enough time spent on the chorus. Would like it if the chorus repeated itself a little more.

 

Wow, I can't remember the last time I was this excited to listen to a record. Kills me that I "have it" but have to wait.

Lots of hype built up now.. hope it's for real! haha

I was also a little surprised the chorus didn't repeat at the end. I do like how concise that song is though. It reminds of Damage.

 

Pol Roger reminds me Death Cab for Cutie in the verses.

 

It's a stunning song.

YOOOOO. the title track though?!?!?!?! probably my strongest initial emotional reaction to anything on the album

 

"Anderson Mesa" is a good song, but I can't imagine putting that at the top of a list of some of the best closers ever. You do you, though!!
