I finally bought a TV to replace my… 16 year old one? First attempt in 2 years. Let’s see if I will keep this one.

 

They both have space travel and are always always always mixed up

 

16 years old. Does it have an antenna to get a signal and a knob for changing the channel? Lmao

Antenna TVs were a thing in the 90's so that is roughly 30 years so it is an EXAGGERATION to think he would have one but who knows, maybe he is hoarder.

 

Just finished Yakuza 6, wow what an ending. I wanted to play Yakuza 7 again (Like A Dragon) and it is on sale on Steam for 12 bucks so I picked it up.

It is surreal playing this game on the OLED SD screen, look so good and is running so smooth.

 

Player's Log: Trails Of Cold Steel.

Finished Chapter 2. Story's starting to ramp up a little, and starting to hear references to other Trails personalities.

Besides the obvious return of Blueblanc, I've heard Lechter's name dropped and I've heard what I'm sure is a reference to the Brights.


Plus of course this game ties in with the events at Crossbell (as the prologue indicates), so I've heard Crossbell brought up a few times and what I'm sure is a passing reference to the SSS. And of course it's Erebonia, so Olivert showed up briefly at the start of the game.

I guess my point is that I love how interconnected these games are and how these callbacks and cameos in each new game make this really feel like a living, breathing world. So pumped to get to the games where all these worlds collide.

Anyway, I may get to start on Chapter 3 a little tomorrow, but unfortunately I'm going on a flight to Connecticut tomorrow late afternoon and won't be back until Saturday, so I won't be able to continue my adventure in earnest until then.

 

On to Episode 3 of Alan Wake 1 and it is absolutely wild to me that this game and Deadly Premonition both borrowed *so much* from Twin Peaks *and* both released in 2010. All in all, I think Deadly Preminition captured the tonal whiplash that comes with Twin Peaks far better than Alan Wake does, but I'm enjoying AW's deeper delve into the thriller elements a lot. Looking forward to eventually getting around to AW2.

 

So I just finished Dead Space remake. It was super fun, a GREAT remake staying true to the original and I liked the bonus chapter. Dunno if they've announced the sequel but I'm sure it's coming.


And I had played Calisto Protocol a couple months ago when it was free in PS+ but only a few hours and I got bored..........why was it so blah. Its not that isn't BAD per se, it's just boring and lacks any oomph and it feels like the most bland DS wannabe. How do you manage to do that?! If anything, I'd have thought DS would have been a boring copy/paste remake and CP would've been the new imagining.....but the opposite happened.

 

Definitely don’t sleep on the new one that just came out! I’ve already put about 18 hours into it and I’m nowhere near done with the story yet bc the side content is so fun

 

Also that scene in Yakuza 6 with the baby is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen in a video game

 

When they are hurlin him around like a football at the end of a game? Truly memorable haha.

yeah thankfully the new one is on gamepass so i’m deff gonna play it before infinite wealth.

 

For those of you that finished Alan Wake 2, is there an order you suggest of going through the two storylines? Should I alternate chapters? Or do Allan’s before Saga’s? I read it doesn’t matter, but still…

 

I personally finished all of Sagas first but I know a lot of people who went back and forth but in the end, it really doesn’t matter. (RIP Chester)

 

Generally, it doesnt matter and you should do whatever you feel but doing them in sets of three works pretty well

 

Get ready for a lot of horse riding in chapter 3

My OLED Steam Deck was delivered several hours earlier than the estimated UPS time. Today is a good day.
