Are we done talking name changes?

We changed the spelling of my son’s name when we adopted him (and his middle name). Which is not super hard since the adoption lawyer does all of the paperwork. But afterward you need to apply for a new social security card. And to get that you need a new, corrected, birth certificate. And the state records office keeps messing up his new birth certificate. First it had the wrong name. Now it has him listed as female. And we’ve sort of given up.

 

When I got my dog I changed his name from Boomer to Phil. Didn’t have to do any paperwork though

 

Boomer is a good dog name in 49 states, but Oklahoma is the one where it isn’t
