At one point pass the baby was reminding me of the xx. Then it was the furthest thing from that. Damn that song is crazy

 

No surprise, the band knows how to fucking end an album.

First listen did not disappoint in the slightest, a ton of really different things for the band that I can't wait to dive deeper into after I get some sleep.

 

This is only my second JEW release cycle as a fan of the band, and I'm gonna end up liking this one way more than Damage

 

They get weird for sure. Pass the baby and the title track are so out there

 

Man, it just rolled right back to "You With Me" and now I'm thinking "You know, I could stay up another 47 minutes..."

 

Pol Roger is an excellent, excellent closer. They are masters at that I swear. This record as a whole though....just insane. I haven't felt this strongly about a JEW record on first listen since CTL. This thing is special even by their standards. Going to be listening to this non stop for a long, long time. Literally growing up with this band has been so special and rewarding. I've been listening to them longer than any other band I still follow closely. By a good couple of years. It makes me feel so many emotions that at 24 years old they're still blowing me away like they did when I was 10, 12, 15, 18, etc.

 

The End is Beautiful more like End My Existence This Song Is Too Good

 

Man. That was good. Everything I wanted and more. Can't wait to listen again. And again. and again. Haha.

Gonna take a lot more listens to see how it stacks with the rest, but first impressions tell me it's with their best.

 

Just got back from the show tonight and I found out this is out there! What an exciting thing to return home to haha.
I'm beginning my first listen now. I've loved everything I've heard so far and everyone's reactions to this so far are getting me more pumped.

I can already see the End is Beautiful being on a TV show episode or movie.

 

oh man, to hear Sure & Certain end and It Matters begin makes me realize this is real. Fuck yes.

 

8 tracks in and I can already confidently say this is my favorite album of theirs since Futures

Like I'm so happy we have a new album from them first of all second of all HOW IS IT THIS FUCKING GOOD holy shit I was no expecting it to exceed my expectations like this. I thought I knew what I was getting based on the singles. WRONG

 

Holy shit I was not expecting this to be nearly as experimental as this is.

On It Matters right now - this is so new for them and I'm adoring it.
