The first 4 episodes of The Crown season 6 felt weird. Like what was great about The Crown was a lot of variety of topics each season and a lot of different stuff I wasn't familiar with. This felt like an almost 4 hour extended cut of the plot of 2006's The Queen. The William meets Kate stuff in part 2 should be interesting and fresh though.

Wound up sticking with the Goosebumps series through the finale. Honestly, I think it wound up not being that bad at all. Yes it’s a teen drama. But I think the humor gets much better as the show goes on, and once you get through the more episodic events of the first half, the story becomes more engaging. Some fun cast additions at the end there too. I’d watch a second season for sure, which it seems like they’re aiming for

 

Still can't believe I watched all of Tokyo Vice thinking it was a miniseries until the cliffhanger.

 

Very bummed Netflix axed Shadow & Bone as well as the Six of Crows spin-off. And had the nerve to blame the strike. Not sure why anyone making a series would sell to Netflix unless it’s an intended limited series

The Scott pilgrim anime is making me so incredibly happy and everyone should watch it.

 

Finished Blue Eye Samurai

10/10 - loved every aspect. Animation, fight scenes, dialogue, story, characters, etc - all great. No idea how the characters will interact next season with where they ended up
Bloody good fun.

I liked the first episode. That’s all I’ve watched so far though.

 

The Apple Monsterverse show made me want rewatch the movies in that franchise. It's so all over the place in streaming. 2014 Godzilla is only available to rent/buy. King of Monsters is only on Netflix. Godzilla Vs Kong is on both Netflix and Max. Kong: Skull Island is only on Fubo of all places.

 

I’m three episodes in. As much as I love the movie, I think the voice acting is bad. I switched to Japanese and I’m liking it a lot more

Best Christmas Ever on Netflix is the most unhinged and absurd movie I’ve seen in a long time. My wife and I couldn’t breathe we were laughing so hard. Do yourself a favor. Go in cold and do not watch a trailer. You won’t regret it.

 

Because of the Monarch show I am rewatching Kong: Skull Island, which happens to have Brie Larsen and Toby Kebbell on the cast who are currently in other Apple TV+ shows I also watched this weekend.

 

Skull Island is sooooooooo good.

 

It still by far the best movie in that franchise. I say it goes Skull Island > Godzilla v Kong >>>> King of Monsters > Godzilla 2014

 

Since we got the big Diana death stuff out of the way, now I am struggling to think of what they're going to cover in the final 6 episodes The Crown.

We know from the previews we are getting into the early romance of William/Kate in college. We have gotten confirmation the series is going to go to at most the wedding of Charles/Camilla in 2005 and probably won't go past that. Besides those two things they're probably going to cover the deaths of the Queen Mother and Princess Margaret months apart, and the Queen's Golden Jubilee in 2002. I can't think of much beyond that.

I hope we get a Tony Blair centric episode about the British perspective of lead up to the war in Iraq.

 

The animated "Skull Island" show is great too
