Opening of "Son In Law" makes me want to run through a wall

 

Son in law is by far my favorite on here

 

There's a little something in here for me but I haven't fully locked in with it yet. Feel like all the songs start and excite me a lot but not all of them sustain that excitement. The wall of sound really works though, been frequently thinking about wanting to see them live again after happening upon them once. Transfixing performance for real...

had to pull the trigger on a copy of this this today, that color pressing is just way too pretty and this record is way to good not to own

think my current favorites are Beauty Filter, History Channel, Son In Law, and BMX but tbh Im just listening to the whole thing on repeat lately

 

I totally love this. It’s almost like a fuzzy, shoegaze-adjacent Oso Oso.

 

It kinda feels like a less accessible tigers jaw to me, and I mean that as a compliment.

 

I Know You and BMX are really doing it for me right now. Took a second but it's all really clicking now

 

also side note that I've had in mind, the lick in the BMX riff instantly reminded me of the one in this yellowcard song and I can't unhear it

Okay, not to be that person, but as someone who likes but doesn't LOVE this, i just wanna quick point people to frontman's old band Weed. Came across them today and their first album goes hard, gives Ovlov
