I can't remember an issue where the comments were so evenly split. I saw the video, the way he moves his leg is definitely not natural. But the context matters so much. I've never been hip checked while skating on ice what do I know. I bet players who get asked will be split on this too. I know intention doesn't matter but like compare this to bertuzzi-moore or mcsorley-brashear where the intention was clearly to injure.

 

I feel like the bruins DJ has always played some deep cuts. Forget how long ago but I remember hearing thrice's "silhouette" which is perfect for a hockey game.

When I went to Prudential for game 1 rangers devils they played a lot of elder emo tracks...tbs, brand new, old and new blink, alkaline trio, motion city soundtrack.

 

I'm old, and can vividly remember the Isles coming onto the ice to Geek Stink Breath.

 

When I heard what happened, I thought it was awful. When I heard they were blaming the other guy, I thought it was ridiculous. Then I saw the clip.

No hip check, divot in the ice, ghost of hockey past, or anything else is going to make you make that leg motion accidentally.

I have no clue what they should do about the situation, especially since sports always have that "yeah, it's kind of a crime, but players almost commit crimes to each other all the time while playing" aspect.

 

yeah I am with you here. I don't think he meant for the outcome to be what it was by any means, but I think he absolutely meant to stick his leg out to affect Adam's forward path and lead with his skate.

 

We got lucky because Mr Hughes is out.

Hopefully the slow start for Canes makes them finally make a tough move. We’re too scared to trade any of our players. But it needs to happen. I was worried coming into the season and didn’t understand why we were being picked to win the East by so many people. This core has been great. But they keep falling short. There needs to be some kind of shakeup.
