I think I've only been to a RR once. Cant remember what I got.

 

We implemented Marketo, which is a pretty intense Marketing Automation Platform recently, and despite not having the time to learn how to use it, the French, German, and British field marketers are insistent on being "self-sufficient" and handling their campaigns themselves instead of just letting me do it for them. But they're also the only marketer for each company, so they don't have the time to actually learn how to use the tool, so they end up continuously coming to me for help, or just purposefully doing it wrong because it's a shortcut.

This is all despite me spending hours recording training videos, meeting with them via zoom on their schedule, and making myself available for whatever they need. They just keep saying fuck it, doing it wrong, and tasking me with cleaning it up after the fact.

EMEA is also the reason all of our budgets are being slashed and we're acting like we're on the verge of layoffs, because despite North America hitting our sales goals, EMEA is below 30% of their goal. So like, maybe shut the fuck up and just learn how to do things correctly instead of wasting an hour of my friends life lecturing her about the cultural norm of water bottles in Germany.

I would, except I'm new to my team, having switched from Content to Marketing Operations, and my boss views the rest of our Marketing Department as our customers so it's been made very clear to me i need to be accommodating to them and frankly I'm still trying to make a good impression with her.

Nah, the EMEA marketing director tried to get me fired twice, because she wanted to remove my position entirely and hire an agency who could cover North America and Europe.

My boss at the time did nothing, luckily the CMO just said no that’s dumb. But that’s why I switched to Marketing Ops, and my new boss is much better.
