Haven’t been gaming because I relapsed and now I’m too sick in detox to game life is hell everything is hell

I’m alright. Made a bad decision a few weeks ago that piled up to a major relapse episode that I finally said enough is enough of yesterday and now I’m detoxing. Feel like shit but ready to get back to the life I had.

 

It really just depends on what you want to play. It generally handles anything that is not a big AAA very well. It’s probably the ideal handheld for all lighter-weight indies now that it’s OLED. It can play some AAA titles well but you need to balance the performance vs efficiency situation to your desired result.

Some indies can play at 60fps (90fps with the OLED) and last for several hours, like Celeste, Hades, or Hollow Knight. Some AAA’s like Cyberpunk or Spiderman can run well at 30-40fps dependent on graphic settings. Some AAA’s like Returnal or Baldur’s Gate 3 will just be a bad experience.

I’ve found Nixxes slays with their PC ports, so their games run phenomenally given the hardware.

 

finished Jusant, what a nice little experience. they really nailed the climbing mechanic by mapping your hands to the triggers.

In good news

 

I’m surprised no one has brought up that they confirmed today that Suicide Squad will have both a free and paid tier battle pass for the game.

 

I’m excited for SS.

 

I really want to be but I don’t really want anything to do with live-service games at this point

 

I play Fortnite almost daily so it’s not a foreign concept to me

 

I think a live-service game can actually work with the right foundation, because in my mind it's honestly not that different from an MMO when you think about it.

Assuming Suicide Squad the game is good on its own and then they just keep adding more stuff to it? My only regret would be that they do that with this and not a Batman game. I'd play a Batman Arkham game till I'm dead if they kept adding more stuff to it.

 

Just started EW. I'm sorry but Sharlayan is a boring city. At least ShB started out interesting and exciting. Got up to the point where I've walked around and talked and now about to head off to my first destination. Please tell me the story picks up soon.

 

I had to Google Sharlayan to figure out EW was not Entertainment Weekly.

I had to stop just before a very major fight because I'm actually on the clock right now, updating servers overnight.

The good thing is that I'll be on call tomorrow as a result, so assuming no emergencies pull me on site, I should be able to finish this game off tomorrow.

Or at least my first run. The good news is that I should only need a second run to finish off the rest of the achievements.
